Hey! Here's our menu plan. We'll change it as needed, but this is what I have so far:
Saturday, November 1:
Sandwiches at Steve's or Tara's BEFORE Carl's open house,
wherever we gather.
Pot Luck at Tara's AFTER Carl's open house
(Finger foods? Halloween party?)
Sunday, November 2 at Steve's (5:00):
Burrito casserole, Red sauce and green sauce
Feel free to bring toppings: sour cream, cheese, etc.
TURKEY DAY ( Eat at 4:00 pm):
Daddy: 2 turkeys
Mom: Corn, pickles, olives, sweet potatoes, cranberries, paper products
Cari: Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Laura: Rolls and whole wheat rolls
Tara : Desserts: pumpkin roll, etc.
Stephen: Stuffing
Candice: Pistachio salad (or other type)
Ben: Green bean casserole
Jana: Desserts with Tara
Rachel: Stuffed celery?
CHRISTMAS EXCHANGE (FRIDAY EVENING?):
Mom and Dad: Costco rolls, ham, canned chicken, lettuces
Cari: Cheese and beans (coordinate with Tara)
Laura: Surprise item
Tara: Tomatoes and beans
Stephen: Mushrooms and crunchies
Candice: Sunflower seeds and broccoli
Ben: Eggs
Jana: Costco Ranch
Rachel: Cucumbers
SATURDAY SHOWER? KEEP US POSTED!!

I think everything looks good but I never got an answer on the emails about the shower and what we are doing with kids and husbands. I would like more information regarding this activity since that day is our anniversary and I wanted to eat at Fuddruckers at some point that day :)! Other than that our whole family is really excited to go up to Utah and see everyone.
Ha ha ha, Stuff celery and cucumbers? I think I can manage that :)
I'm planning on making my husband watch the kids for the shower since he would much rather do that than go to the shower himself. I don't really know much info about the shower...are we doing it at Janette's? What time? What can I bring? I guess I should call Laura. I also don't know about the potluck. Steve is still having the party on Thursday, but I think it would be fun to have a Halloween themed potluck and still not tell anyone what you're bringing like Mom planned. Whatever everyone wants to do is fine with me, though. Ü
The halloween themed pot luck will be fine. We are adjusting our dinner plans a bit on Thursday anyway, so we should be okay with whatever people bring. We are goign to dress up Kaleb, but Jess and I will probably just wear the same thing we will be wearing to the open house. Or we might just bring something more comfortable to change into. Can't wait for the weekend. It will be busy, but so fun. Also, I don't have a problem if the guys/kiddies want to crash at my house during the shower. If it's going to be at Janette's, my house would be a great central meeting place for everyone to gather. Then the girls can all go to the shower, and the boys can watch football, or the kids, or the kids playing football? anywho, we can make whatever is decided work. Talk to you then!!
